Nice Hotel Shaw Boulevard, Pasig Review

If you're looking for a affordable hotel that offers a 12-hour rate where you can check-in any time of the day, Nice Hotel is a good option. This Nice Hotel branch at Shaw Boulevard, Pasig can be easily seen if you traverse the Shaw Boulevard route going to Oranbo Pasig area. It is a jeepney ride away (Pasig signboard) from Crossing, Mandaluyong.

What I like about this hotel is that, although the Standard Room is quite small, the rooms are clean. The mattress is firm, the sheets and towels are fresh and not worn-out unlike in some budget hotels.

The Standard Room does not have a double door and the room can give you a claustrophobic feeling since, as I've said earlier, these are quite small. It's the cleanliness of the place despite the budget price, that sets it apart from its neighbors in the area.  When I say "clean" it means that no musty smell will greet you when you enter the room.

The 12-hour rate for this Standard Room is at 545 Php. If you choose to order breakfast ahead, they will upgrade your room to Deluxe. It is a bit bigger and it has a small window and a double door. Room with breakfast is 745 Php.

There is only 1 stool for dining in case you wish to order food. If you have a partner with you, he or she may have to use the bed or stand while eating.

Their air-conditioning units are still new and function well. The TV is flat screen with good cable reception. Wi-fi is available. The password is at the back of the TV remote control.

Hot and cold shower are available. Sometimes, you still have to ask them to turn the hot water on, so be sure to request this upon checking in to avoid the unnecessary inconvenience.

 This room has a broken lock in the bathroom. The flimsy door material quality seems to be a common problem with Nice Hotel rooms. If it matters to you, check this bathroom door before getting cozy and request for a room change.

Nice Hotel has a selection of affordable meals.

Bermuda Hotel Review - Mandaluyong City

Bermuda Hotel and Restaurant is conveniently located near Crossing Edsa - Shaw Boulevard area. It's one of the budget hotels or motels you can easily access from the MRT Shaw Boulevard station. Walking distance and directly behind the jeepney terminal in the area, you can easily walk-in whenever you want to. The area is in an inner road but very well-lighted even at night.

It is one of our favorite go-to places because of its convenient location and great food. There are two Bermuda hotels located in the area. We often go the newer building on the left side if you're coming from the jeepney terminal. 

We availed their overnight 12-hour promo from 8pm-8am the following morning. The overnight rate is 715.00 Php. 

For convenience, we also ordered breakfast. They have this yummy Tapsilog good for 2 people priced at 275.00 Php.  It comes with coffee, too. 

The bed mattress is comfortably firm. This room's bed in particular kinda creaks when you're into some action- and we're not that wild! I could just imagine if you are more "active."The sound is quite annoying. Perhaps the frame is a bit worn out already. In the other rooms, the beds are just fine. The pillows are sometimes firm, sometimes you get a quite worn out one, but the sheets and pillowcases are very clean. The towels are slightly warmed which I find really nice. 

Mirrors: Some of their motel rooms have only 1 mirror, some have mirror on the sides. Perhaps it would be best to ask the room boy which ones have more mirrors if your prefer such.

In case you need more toiletries, they have a small plastic box that contains toothpaste, bar soap, tootbrush, etc, that you can use but you will have to pay for those upon check out.
